The concept of open source blogging is bold and scary for those of us that have been writing online. The concept behind it is to give our work away and allow people to use it as they will and let them link back to you as a bonus.

This blog will explore the topics and issues behind open source blogging and let us all take a look into the possible new future of giving our work away and allowing it to return to us in many other wonderful and unexpected ways.

As David said in his blog:

In 1940 Woody Guthrie wrote his most famous song, “This Land is Your Land”, something of a protest song. Of it he said:

“This song is Copyrighted in U.S., under Seal of Copyright #154085, for a period of 28 years, and anybody caught singin’ it without our permission, will be mighty good friends of ourn, cause we don’t give a dern. Publish it. Write it. Sing it. Swing to it. Yodel it. We wrote it, that’s all we wanted to do.”

And for the record, I firmly believe that the more you give away and allow others to use, the more it returns to you in the oddest and strangest ways. You may be paid in new income opportunities, new life opportunities or just experience a richer life, if you allow yourself too.
